The 2016 Nominating Committee convening for the first time at the end of the ICANN Dublin meeting.

Each year, a Nominating Committee (NomCom) is put together to recruit talented individuals to key ICANN leadership positions.

In October, at the close of the ICANN Dublin meeting which was also the organisation’s Annual General Meeting, the 2016 NomCom came into being.

This year’s NomCom is looking to fill 3 seats on the ICANN Board, 2 seats on the At Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) and 1 seat on both the country code Name Supporting Organisation (ccNSO) Council and the generic Name Supporting Organisation (GNSO) Council.

The 2016 NomCom now has a live website up and running. On this site, through its one-year term, the committee will be putting up information on how to apply. Explanatory videos and updates on its work (report cards) will also be posted.

The NomCom expects to call for applications before the end of the year 2015 and to set a deadline for those applications around the end of March 2016.
