Domain name system coordinator ICANN is launching a series of DNS-Entrepreneurship Center (DNS-EC) seminars to help develop expertise around domain names in Africa and the Middle East.

StartingDot has partnered with ICANN to co-host the first two workshops, held in Tunisia and Quatar from October 8 to 12, 2015.

“The objective of the workshops is to construct a Strategic Plan for ccTLD Registries based on a SWOT (Strengths-Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats) analysis of the country’s DNS market,” says ICANN. “Potential attendees include ccTLD managers, IDN ccTLD manager, and the Registrars/Resellers in the respective countries.”
