Bulgaria has organised successful domain related events for several years but for 2015, the country is ramping up by dedicating a full week to the Internet.
The aptly named Bulgarian Internet Week (BIW) is a conference roadshow making stops in several Bulgarian cities before ending in the capital Sofia with a couple of star events.
The June 1st and 2nd conferences, respectively in Ruse and Varna, will focus on building awareness on both the Internet itself and ICANN’s new TLD program. Existing new TLDs like .bio and .archi will be headlining along with snowsports’ .ski which sunrises this summer and will open for general availability in time for the 2015 skiing season.
Then, on June 3rd it’s back to Sofia to showcase the vibrant domain name marketplace through a Domainfest event.
The week will close with Internet governance event EuroDIG (European Dialogue on Internet Governance).
