ICANN’s Nominating Committee may soon have a new format, new terms for its members and may no longer select to positions other than the Board.
The ICANN Board met on July 30th and decided to up the level of compensation its members receive.
Board members will now be eligible to claim $45,000US annual compensation. This comes after the Board’s August 2010 decision to compensate its Chair (that position is awarded $75,000 a year). In December 2011, the Board approved a proposal to compensate “ordinary” members to the tune of $35,000 a year.
